Common questions
Is a flickering light dangerous?
It can be. If several lights flicker together, or it happens when a large appliance starts, that suggests a loose connection or an overloaded circuit — both worth investigating.
My breaker keeps tripping. Can I just reset it?
Once, to see if it was a one-off. Repeatedly, no. The breaker is doing its job; something is drawing more current than the circuit is rated for.
